Join infectious control specialist Megan Reilly, from Hands-On Infection Control for a timely, online interactive micro skills webinar: Laundry Principles and Practices – for laundry service workers across community housing organisations and homelessness services.
You will leave this workshop with greater understanding in the principles of safe linen handling as well as the ability to describe safe laundry practices.
The training is primarily aimed at Homelessness Support workers, Housing Officers in congregate living facilities and service workers.
About the facilitators:
Megan Reilly is a certified trainer and registered general nurse with a Certificate in Infection Control obtained from Fremantle Hospital (1988). She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing at Edith Cowan University in 1999, Masters in Health Science (Infection Control) with Honors at Griffith University in 2002, Immunisation Certificate in 2008 and TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment in 2015.
In 1998 Megan commenced Hands-On Infection Control meeting industry and training needs across organisations in both metropolitan, rural and remote Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
What you’ll gain from this training:
Community housing organisations and homelessness services will leave the Laundry Principles and Practices Webinar with:
• A greater understanding of laundry practice standards and requirements
• Ability to state the 3 key principles of safe linen handling
• Ability to describe safe laundry practices
As this is an interactive online micro skills webinar, please make sure you register individually for each person participating in the workshop. All participants will need their own computer screen.
